Unite-CPHVA Annual Professional Conference 2016
This year’s Unite-CPHVA Annual Professional Conference was held at Telford International Centre on the 15-16th November 2016.
The event celebrated 120 years of CPHVA supporting community practitioners in their professional development featuring policy updates, debates, skills masterclasses and keynote seminars focused on the needs of Health Visitors, CNNs, Nurse Practitioners, School and District Nurses in practice, research and education.
Highlights included an inspirational theatre production from Women and Theatre drawing on the experiences of our membership and a closing session from Simon Weston CBE who reminded us all that overcoming challenges helps to make us stronger. We were also delighted to welcome Jon Ashworth MP to deliver his first speech as Shadow Secretary of State for Health.
Details of the 2017 event will be released soon. In the meantime, if you would like to register your interest or would like to discuss how to get involved in the agenda, poster display or exhibition, email email@example.com.
“The wealth of information was overwhelmingly good and the learning outcomes almost too numerous to mention. the feeling of coming together as one to fight austerity and stand up for all children and families in there right to equal opportunities.”
Jane Webster, Professional Lead Health Visitor
“[The event highlight for me was] hearing a diversity of speakers that I wouldn’t usually have come across” – Amanda Woodhams, Community Nursery Nurse
